Bharti Airtel Scholarship Program 2026-27
- Confirmed admission or enrollment in the first year (academic year 2026-27) of undergraduate or 5-year integrated courses in fields such as:
- Electronics and Communication, Telecom, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Aerospace, and Emerging Technologies (AI, IoT, AR/VR, Machine Learning, Robotics) at one of the top 50 NIRF-ranked Engineering universities/institutes (based on the 2025 list).
- Must be a citizen and resident of India.
- Annual both parental/guardian income from all sources must not exceed INR 8.5 lakh.
Note:
- Preference will be given to girl students, students with disabilities, students from single-parent or orphaned backgrounds, and transgender students.
- Applicants should not be recipients of any other scholarships/ grants for the same purposes as being supported by the Bharti Airtel Foundation.
- The scholarship covers 100% of the annual fees as per the course fee structure of the respective university/institute.
- Scholarships are available for the full duration of the UG courses, including integrated courses, for up to 5 years (subject to meeting the renewal criteria).
- Hostel and mess fees will be provided to all eligible students who apply for them.
- For students staying in PG/outside hostel (as the charges may vary for each student), the funds would be released as per the Hostel/Mess charges of the institute or actuals. (whichever is less)
- A laptop will be provided to all Bharti Scholars in their first year of the course. (The responsibility for the safety and security of the laptop lies with the student, and no replacements will be provided.)
- Upon successful graduation and subsequent gainful employment, Bharti Scholars will undertake to voluntarily support the education of at least one student on a continuous basis, at all times during their lifetime. This commitment aims to foster a culture of giving back, ensuring the continued empowerment of future generations through education with the community.
- Bharti Scholars are encouraged to demonstrate environmental leadership and to voluntarily undertake planting and nurturing a minimum of five trees annually during the tenure of the scholarship.
Note:
- All sundry and refundable expenses during the year of study, including but not limited to any counselling (JOSAA) fee, library fee, refundable security deposits, internet fee, breakage, laundry charges, damage recovery charges, or any other mid-year requirement of the institute, will be borne by the scholars only.
- In the event that any information furnished or declared by the students or parents/guardians is found to be false, the application will be rejected. If discovered later during the course of scholarship support, the scholarship will be revoked, and the students or parents/guardians will be asked to reimburse any amount disbursed (to date) by the Foundation, including returning the laptop issued.
- Government-Issued Identity Proof (Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License, etc.)
- Current year admission proof (admission letter, fee letter from the university/institution)
- The marksheet of Class 12
- JEE scorecard or university entrance exam scorecard (whichever is applicable)
- Parental/Guardian income documents:
- If salaried/self-employed: latest Income Tax Return Form (complete form) and bank statement of the previous 6 months. Income tax acknowledgement receipts will not be considered as valid income proof
- If no taxable income/unemployed: Government-issued income certificate and bank statement of the previous 6 months
- Bank account details (such as account number, IFSC, branch address) and bank statement of the applicant and parent/guardian for the last 6 months
- Bank account details of the institution (such as name of account, account number, IFSC, branch address)
- A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant
- Documents about extra-curricular activities, achievements, part-time jobs, projects, innovations, etc
- Expense receipts/rent agreement (in case of staying in PG/rented accommodation), if applicable
- Statement of Purpose (SOP) from the applicant.
