Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Transgender Scholarship Program 2026-27
Eligibility :
- Open to pan-India transgender students pursuing secondary, senior secondary, or undergraduate/postgraduate studies through any government or private open school or open university.
- A minimum score of 35% in Class 10 and/or Class 12 is required.
- The applicants’ parental income from all sources must not exceed INR 10,00,000 per year.
- Candidates who are children of employees of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited or Buddy4Study are ineligible.
Benefits :
Selected students will receive a one-time scholarship of up to INR 40,000.
Note: Scholarship funds can be utilised for academic-related expenses, including exam fees, admission fees, tuition fees, etc.
Documents :
- A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant
- Class 10 or 12 mark sheets / previous year mark sheets, if applicable
- A government-issued address proof (PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, etc.)
- Proof of admission (college/school ID card, academic fees receipt) for the current academic year
- Copy of any academic-related expense receipts, such as Exam Fees, Admission Fees, and Tuition Fees
- Annual family income proof (such as ITR, salary slips, income certificate by the concerned Government authority, etc.)
- Bank account details of the applicant (or parent)
- In case of transfer of funds to the bank account of the student’s parent (i.e., if the student/applicant does not hold a bank account), the following documents shall be collected:
- A government-issued ID card, to substantiate the relationship between parent and student.
- First page of the passbook of the parent, which contains the account name, account number, IFSC code, etc.
- In case of minors (below 18 years of age) (in preferential order):
- Government-issued Transgender ID card
- Letter/Certificate from the school/college certifying the transgender status of the student
- Letter/Certificate from the NGO the student is associated with (considering that the NGO is acting in the capacity of a guardian).
- In case of majors (18 years and above) (in preferential order):
- Transgender certificate (issued by any NGO or by GoI/competent authority)
- Letter/Certificate from the school/college certifying the transgender status of the student
- Letter/Certificate from the NGO
- Self Declaration by the applicant
