AICTE Swanath Scholarship Scheme 2026-27

  • The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers various scholarships to students pursuing technical education in India. These scholarships aim to provide financial assistance to meritorious students and encourage them to pursue technical education. Some of the most popular AICTE scholarships include:

    1. Pragati Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship is specifically designed for female students pursuing technical courses. The scholarship amount varies depending on the course and the student’s family income.

    2. Saksham Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship is awarded to students with disabilities pursuing technical courses. The scholarship amount varies depending on the course and the student’s disability.

    3. Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Technical Diploma/Degree):  This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in technical diploma or degree courses in Indian institutions recognised by AICTE.

    The financial assistance under these scholarships varies, and selected students will receive it through direct bank transfer.

    • Be an Indian national
    • Be a ward impacted by COVID-19 (i.e., lost one or both parents due to COVID-19) or a ward of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces personnel martyred in action (Shaheed) or a ward of a PwD (above 80% in accident) or a ward of a parent suffering from critical life threatening disease
    • Be enrolled full-time in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a regular degree or diploma program at an AICTE-approved institution
    • Have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

    Note:- Applicants must not be receiving any other central/state government/AICTE-sponsored scholarships at the time of application.

    • Selected candidates will receive a lump sum of ₹50,000 per year through the DBT mode to cover college fees, computer purchases, stationery, books, equipment, software, etc. This amount is for the entire year of study, and hostel & medical charges are not included.

      Award Duration:

      • A maximum of 4 years for Degree students, and a maximum of 3 years for Diploma students.
      • Students in higher years (2nd, 3rd, or 4th) will receive the scholarship for their remaining years of study.
  • For Orphan Candidates:-

    • Death certificates of both parents (if available) OR
    • A certificate issued by the Tehsildar/SDM in the enclosed format (Annexure I)
    • A bonafide certificate issued by the institution
    • Class 12 or equivalent and Class 10 marksheets (for degree level)
    • Class 10 or equivalent marksheet (for diploma level)
    • Category certificate (if applicable)

 

  • For Candidates who lost a parent to COVID-19:
    • A death certificate of the deceased parent explicitly mentioning COVID-19 as the cause of death
    • If one parent is alive: Income certificate (current year) issued by a competent authority, stating family income below ₹8,00,000
    • A bonafide certificate issued by the institution.
    • Class 12 or equivalent and Class 10 marksheets (for degree level)
    • Class 10 or equivalent marksheet (for diploma level)
    • Category certificate (if applicable)

 

  • Wards of Martyred Armed Forces/Central Paramilitary Personnel:
    • Death certificate of the martyred personnel
    • Shaheed certificate issued by the Armed Forces/Central Paramilitary Forces
    • A bonafide certificate issued by the institution
    • Class 12 or equivalent and Class 10 marksheets (for degree level)
    • Class 10 or equivalent marksheet (for diploma level)
    • Income certificate (current year) issued by a competent authority, stating family income below  ₹8,00,000
    • Category certificate (if applicable)
