AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students 2026-27

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers various scholarships to students pursuing technical education in India. These scholarships aim to provide financial assistance to meritorious students and encourage them to pursue technical education. Some of the most popular AICTE scholarships include:

Saksham Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship is awarded to students with disabilities pursuing technical courses. The scholarship amount varies depending on the course and the student’s disability.

The financial assistance under these scholarships varies, and selected students will receive it through direct bank transfer

  • Be an Indian national
  • Belong to a specially-abled category with a benchmark disability of not less than 40%
  • Be admitted to the first or second year (through lateral entry) of a degree/diploma program in a current-year AICTE-approved institution
  • Have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

Selected students will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹50,000 per year for each year of their studies till the course completion.

Note:- No other additional grant will be payable instead of hostel charges, medical charges, etc.

  • Copy of Marksheets from Class 10 and 12 (as applicable)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Income Certificate issued by the State/UT Government for the preceding financial year
  • Admission letter for a degree/diploma program issued by the Directorate of Technical Education
  • Receipt of tuition fee payment
  • Copy of a bank account passbook seeded with an Aadhaar Card showing the applicant’s photograph, account number, and IFSC code
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • A duly signed declaration by parents confirming the accuracy of the information provided in the application form (if applicable)
